Welcome Elan and Susi to the MeM Team!

This July, two new staff members have joined the Mano en Mano team! We are so excited to introduce you to Elan Gabel-Richards who is joining us our first Housing Director and Susi Paredes who is joining the team as the Milbridge Office Manager.

Elan Gabel Richards

Elan was hired in 2020 to become Mano en Manos first full time Housing Director. Prior to joining the MeM staff Elan and his brother were running their own small construction company headquartered in Sullivan. Elan was born and raised in Maine, he attended Warren Wilson College where he earned a Degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Latin American studies and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. For most of his career work in Maine has been seasonal allowing him to travel and explore new places in the winter.

Susi Paredes Vazquez

Susi was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Shortly after, her family moved to Milbridge, Maine, which is where she was raised. She is the youngest of 6 children. After graduating from Narraguagus High School in Harrington, Maine, Susi attended Husson University. She graduated from Husson in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. During her time at Husson, she was a part of the Accounting Society and volunteered for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program). She is passionate about helping others and photography. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones.
