Mandi Anderson of Machiasport, Maine was promoted to the position of Associate Director of Mano en Mano | Hand in Hand on December 3, 2012. Mandi has worked with Mano en Mano since 2011 and was previously Migrant Education Data Analyst.
In her part-time position as Associate Director, Mandi will help implement and evaluate all programs, set standards for performance management, serve as liaison to the Board of Directors, and provide leadership and direction for the organization. She will assume primary responsibility for the following areas: staff development, data management, client/student records, human resources, payroll, and donation processing.
Mandi began working with Mano en Mano after relocating to Downeast Maine from Phoenix, Arizona. Her recent experience includes management of a social services program that provides care to foster children and families. Mandi has also worked with the Migrant Education Program in Indiana, as well as tutoring for Sylvan Learning Centers and her university. She is fluent in Spanish and studied abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico. Mandi received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Chemistry. She currently lives in Machiasport, and in her spare time is an enthusiastic Zumba fitness instructor.
