New England Coalition Against Trafficking
Mano en Mano is partnering with Project REACH of the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts to form the New England Coalition Against Trafficking and:
Build a regional coalition of trafficking victim service providers.
Raise awareness of the issue of human trafficking in New England.
Increase capacity for service delivery through training of providers and referrals of organizations to the Services to Trafficking Victims programs.
Increase the number of victims identified.
Create pathways to connect victims to services.
Project REACH, a program of the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute, is an anti-trafficking program that has been in operation since January 2003. Project REACH offers direct service and consultation to providers and conducts outreach and trainings throughout the United States. They are currently funded by OVC for pre-certified victims of trafficking, and also provide services for post-certified victims through a subcontract from HHS. Through a grant from the Office of Refugee Resettlement, Rescue and Restore Victims of Human Trafficking Regional Program Project REACH will establish the New England Coalition Against Trafficking (NECAT).
Mano en Mano is very excited to be a part of this coalition and to expand our services in this field.
